Because there are so many Marriott Vacation Club resorts to choose from, deciding where to go can be a tough decision. It all depends on what you're looking for in a vacation. How many people will you be traveling with? Are you planning a trip with friends, family, or both? Are you looking for a secluded getaway for two, a relaxing retreat with friends, or an adventure-filled family vacation with little down time? No matter what you're looking for, we're confident you'll find something that fits your needs.
When it comes to renting Marriott timeshare, there are three types of rentals you will find in our inventory:
In order to increase your chances for rental success, there are a few things you should know before you start your search.
1. The most highly sought after rental weeks are typically those with the least availability, as they tend to be reserved by owners almost as quickly as they come available to them.
2. Those who advertise floating weeks or Destinations Points for rent may be doing so to attract renters by maintaining a level of flexibility.
3. We can't say it enough – doing your homework and having realistic expectations when contacting owners through advertisements on our site will help everyone get through the process with as much hair intact as possible.
If you already know exactly what you're looking for, your best bet is to search for a rental advertisement in our inventory of Marriott timeshare rentals for the specific week, resort, unit size and type you seek. If you're able to find a Marriott timeshare for rent which meets your vacation needs and wants perfectly, congratulations!
If you aren't able to find exactly what you're looking for during a preliminary search, you can then begin to sort through the advertisements which offer floating weeks or Points for rent. Keep in mind that when dealing with owners who are advertising floating weeks or Destinations Points, it's always a good idea to familiarize yourself with the rules of the Marriott Vacation Club and the process an owner must go through to confirm a reservation within the Club.
If you'd prefer to avoid the frustration that often accompanies going back and forth with an owner, only to find out that they don't even have the ability to make the reservation you're looking for, a little bit of reading will go a long way!
If you're looking to rent a three-bedroom unit for the week of July 4th at Marriott's Harbour Club in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, you should not contact an owner who is advertising a floating week in a three-bedroom unit during the Sport season. Sport season at the Harbour Club does NOT encompass the week of July 4th, and therefore, the owner would not be able to reserve that week even if the resort had availability during your desired time period.
Furthermore, there's no such thing as a three-bedroom unit at the Harbour Club, and if you knew that in the first place, you'd have known to ask the owner for clarification during your very first interaction.

Once you've found what you're looking for in our Marriott timeshare rental inventory, you can start making inquiries on the individual advertisements that peak your interest. At this point, the owner of the advertised rental will contact you directly to confirm the details of the reservation or to work with you to confirm a reservation that meets your needs, and to negotiate a price you can all agree on.
Once you've settled on the details, you and the owner are responsible for completing any necessary paperwork in the way of a rental contract, payment, and to obtain a guest confirmation for your use of the rental week.
Always keep in mind that as a non-owner you will never be able to pay an owner to rent a floating week or Destinations Points with the intention of making a reservation with Marriott on your own. All reservations will need to be made by the owner of the timeshare, who will then need to make arrangements to have a guest confirmation issued in your name.
