This is a studio unit - twin beds in the main room.  But it's an RCI Gold Crown Resort, so this nicely appointed apartment can sleep 4, has a full bathroom, a galley kitchen, and a very large balcony that might well become your actual living room.  Beverly Hills Club is a lively place with so many on-site activities that you'll definitely leave your room but you might never leave the resort.

The resort is high on a hillside and your balcony faces toward the coast and town of Los Cristianos, so eventually your curiosity will stir you to get out and explore the stunning island that is Tenerife.

You can walk or take a free 1-mile shuttle to the sandy beaches, shops, bars, and restaurants of Los Cristianos.  Spiral Guide says, *The centre of Los Cristianos exudes the rhythm of a real town.  Away from its two beaches, the back streets and a church square are resolutely Spanish.*  Ferries and boat tours show you whales and dolphins on the way to nearby islands.  There's an ecologic park with eagles and condors, an exotic park with cacti and iguanas, an aquapark and .... suffice to say there's plenty to do and see.

Despite lore, the Canary Islands probably are not the Lost Island of Atlantis, but they are volcanic, and none as spectacular as Tenerife.  I hope you take time to explore the whole island - from the highest peak in Spain to the pyramids that Thor Heyerdahl links with Egypt and the Caribbean.  From the tiny hamlets hidden in the mountains through the luxuriant wine belt to the totally un-touristy old city of Santa Cruz.

The busy town centre of Los Cristianos is closed to traffic and pedestrian walks are bright, with dozens of open air restaurants and bars. It's worth noting that every Sunday there is a large market offering everything from watches and jewelry to clothes and music. The main beach in Los Cristianos is sheltered by the harbour and has calm waters and soft yellow sands, inviting you to swim or take a trip on a pedaloe. Las Vistas Beach, located on the next bay, and just five minutes from the town centre, is one of the finest in Tenerife, with excellent facilities and breakwaters sheltering the golden sand beach. Ferries to the adjacent island of Gomera leave regularly from Los Cristianos harbour throughout the day. Boat trips to see whales and dolphins, the varied coastline or deep sea fishing are available on the quayside along with freshly caught fish and seafood.
