This is your escape from fast cars, the busy roads, overflowing shopping centres and the ubiquitous PC. Instead you experience the wonders and great heritage of the waterways. Mother Nature goes about her business as the days and the seasons change. Those incomparable and hospitable canal-side pubs. Fellow boaters passing the time of day. All of this at only 2 - 3 miles per hour! It really is a different world. Canaltime weeks can be exchanged through RCI - either on points (if you are a points member) or in weeks. This is a red season week. Fees are up to date. Resort Information - Canaltime at Alvecote Marina Village

The narrowboats at Alvecote Marina are located on the Coventry Canal 4 miles from the town of Tamworth. From the marina you can cruise to Nottingham, Leicester, Coventry, Birmingham or Stoke on Trent within a week. Tamworth has attractions for all ages including Tamworth Castle and the Snowdome, Europe's only year-round ski slope with real snow. This is an activity holiday, where guests have sole charge of the boat. For cruising purposes guests must be fit and able-bodied, and comply with the minimum occupancy policy.
