"Week 17 is mid-April, a perfect time at Pompano Beach. The weather is spectacular, miles of white sugary sand are at the back gate of La Costa, and the warm Gulf Stream is so close you can see it! There are so many activities in the area, you won’t be able to do all of them. Within minutes you can fish off Municipal Pier, snorkel, surf, and swim under the watchful eyes of lifeguards. Not a beach person? Tennis, golf and horseracing are in town. Shop close by, or up the road in quaint Del Ray or on internationally famous Worth Avenue, Palm Beach. Other south Florida attractions include art galleries, professional sport events, historical sights, nature preserves, even swimming with dolphins at the Seaquarium.
