In 1725, prior to the American Revolution, Nicholas Depuy moved to Shawnee from New Amsterdam (New York) and in 1733 built Fort Depuy, a distinctive, stone home that later served as a Fort in The French and Indian War and now houses the Shawnee Development, Inc. and Interval Management, Inc. administrative offices. Surrounding the Fort is Depuy Village, the second village built at Shawnee as timesharing grew in the late 1970’s. The distinctive feature of Depuy village is the “salt box” style, two-story floor plans. The historic Shawnee Inn is just a ten-minute walk from Depuy Village.

DEPUY VILLAGE - PHASE 1 STYLE UNIT: Each Depuy Village Phase 1 unit includes the following items: Coffee maker, air conditioning, 2 televisions, cable TV, cutlery, pots and pans, telephone, full-size stove with oven, 18 cubic foot refrigerator, VCR, microwave oven, washer/dryer, dishwasher, cooking utensils, clock radio, telephone, fireplace, and ironing board. DEPUY - PHASE 1 "F" UNIT SLEEPING ACCOMMODATIONS - ONE BEDROOM UNITS: 2 double beds in bedroom, 1 queen sleeper sofa in living room, 1 full bath, maximum occupancy = 6, private occupancy = 4. DEPUY - PHASE 1 A, B, C, D, E UNIT SLEEPING ACCOMMODATIONS - TWO BEDROOM UNITS: Varying bedroom structures, sleeper sofa in living room, 2 full baths, some units have additional half-bath, max occupancy = 8, private occupancy = 4. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT DEPUY - PHASE 1: All units in Depuy Phase 1 are air-conditioned and have a fireplace. Most units are multilevel; there are no elevators. There is limited handicapped accessibility in Depuy Phase 1.
