Floating week(s)... RED seasons (any time of year except "Elite weeks", i.e. Easter, Holy week,  Christmas, New Year's). I can use any Mayan Resort, anywhere in the world. Most of them are now in Mexico and Buenos Aires...

OR "SPACEBANK" the timeshare with either RCI or the exclusive SFX and elect to cruise to the destination(s) of choice or vacation almost anywhere in the world for a small fee (BOTH of these exchange memberships are included).

At the Mayan Palace Puerto Penasco I have a documented Promotional Split Week Privilege Agreement that specifies "Weeks used at the Mayan Palace Puerto Penasco may be split into one weekend use of 3 nights or less and one midweek use of 4 nights or less. A use will be considered weekend if the stay includes a Saturday and/or Friday night. The member shall pay the full maintenance fee for the week upon reserving any use segment. The other segment may be reserved later, but must be used during the same calendar year as the first segment."  Each Year I get one week in a Suite (1 bed, 1 bath/LR... accommodates 4) at any Mayan resort. I also get an additional VF week at any one of the Mayan resorts. I only pay a maintenance fee for the VF week if I use it. If I choose to go to Mayan Sea Garden in Mazatlan I get 1 week as described plus 2 weeks in a 2 bedroom/bath/LR/Kitchen Master Suite (MAZ PAC). For the first 5 years (I bought 09/14/2005) I pay an annual maintenance fee of $535.82 whether I use the unit or not. After this 5 years I only pay the maintenance fee if I use or spacebank it. To exemplify the character of Mayan Palace President/Leader this Maintenance Fee, because of the economic slowdown in the USA, has been waived for 2009 unless the timeshare is used and these same fees are not due and payable until the time of reservation. Every 5 years I pay a renovation fee that is the equivalent of one of the then current maintenance fees for the registered week I own. These resorts are gorgeous and more are being built in places other than Mexico. Unfortunately I have no time to go to them! I can renew for up to 100 years. My ownership is for 25 years. Along with this deal goes an RCI membership that is active until 2010, and an SFX membership. My vacation ownership gives me access to the golf courses (Jack Nicklaus designed most of them) with a minimum of 20% off Green Fees and Cart Rental! RTU until 2030.
