Banyan Harbor, which is located only two miles from the Lihue Airport, is centrally located on the island of Kauai. The resort invites you to enjoy the on-site pool, tennis, shuffleboard, and barbecue grills. A five-minute walk will take you to Kalapaki Beach, Nawiliwii Industrial sea port, shopping areas, dining, and other activities. The resort is within two miles of Kauai's largest shopping center, three golf courses, theaters, cinemas, and Kauai's business center. Limited on-site amenities exist due to the abundance of attractions and amenities offered in close proximity to the resort.

It's location on the island is perfect for sightseeing, from the west/southwest to east/northeast routes. The resort itself sports both year-round residents and timeshare use. Kalapaki Beach is a 5 minute walk; The mini-mall across the street provides a nice selection of boutique-type shops, souvenir shops, art studios, and restaurants. Banyan Harbor Resort is a 10-minute drive to K-Mart, Wal-Mart, and grocery store, and a 10-minute drive from Lihue Airport. You can also tour the nearby Marriott Resort and Country Club grounds that center the bay/harbor. The Marriott has a bar - Dukeâ??s - with a nice waterfall, and seating all around the waterfall and Koi pond. Next to the Marriott is a country club and tennis club with a full golf course. They have beautiful grounds, which you may wander through. Lydgate State Park has an enclosed area for snorkeling - highly recommended! as well as a nice playground for the kids.
