Tucked away on 61 secluded acres, the Villas at Trapp Family Lodge offer unparalleled elegance and comfort in a tranquil setting high above the mountain valley. Pitched gable cedar roofs and second floor balconies are reminiscent of the original Trapp Family Lodge. Inside, the soaring ceilings, exposed beams, light-suffused rooms and hard wood floor rooms evoke the sophistication of a European villa and the magic of a Vermont retreat. Inviting furniture, exquisite fixtures and accessories, and extraordinary attention to detail blend in effortless harmony. The private Villas seem to unfold into nature.

Each luxurious Villa features two richly appointed master suites with king beds and one guest room with two double beds, three and a half deluxe baths, magnificent great room with wood-burning fireplace, state-of-the-art surround sound system, and central air-conditioning. The downstairs master suite features its own private entrance, full bath, wood-burning fireplace, mini-fridge and microwave. It can be used as a "lock-off". There is a gourmet kitchen with high-end appliances, comfortable, handcrafted dining area, roomy screened in porch, custom details throughout, personal storage units in basement, attached garage, and washer & dryer.

The Tyrolean architecture of the Main Lodge is accented by hand-carved balustrades, steeply pitched gables and a cedar shake roof with an Austrian bell tower. Guests relax in the comfortably appointed common rooms and libraries including the Sun Room, Family Room, Library and Living Rooms - each with individual character and views, and some with fireplaces. Relax in front of a roaring fire with your favorite novel, or play a board game with a friend. Large windows throughout the Main Lodge provide guests with continuous views and a constant reminder that they are in a true mountain resort. DINING: European-style cuisine is featured in three restaurants - The Dining Room, The Lounge, and the Austrian Tea Room - each with its own distinct character. Executive Chef Juergen Spagolla, a native of Austria, has designed the ever-changing menus to reflect both Austrian and Vermont traditions. He and his staff select only the season's freshest local produce, game and fish, using herbs and vegetables grown in the resort's own gardens. THE NORDIC SKI CENTER: The Ski Center Today is a contemporary lodge with a retail shop and equipment rentals (including the Fischer "demo" program). 45km of groomed trails and 100km of back-country trails make the ski center Stowe's largest - suitable for all ages and abilities. Be sure to make the exhilarating trip (on skis or snowshoes) to the Slayton Pasture Cabin where soup, sandwiches, hot chocolate and homemade cookies are served fireside. Additional on-site amenities include a bar/cocktail lounge, children's and family activities, live entertainment, a state-of-the-art fitness center, fishing, hiking trails, masseuse, playground, ice skating, cross-country skiing, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and tennis court.
