Brand Growth Spotlight: Hyatt Hotels Corporation

Hyatt is home to one of the most popular timeshare and hotel brands in the hospitality industry and their dedication to great vacations hasn’t slowed down. In recent months, the company has made a lot of impressive announcements that make us excited about the vacationing opportunities they can offer timeshare owners and potential buyers. Here are just five notable changes of many that will be happening to Hyatt Hotels Corporation over the next few years:

1. Hyatt Regency Bali

Bali Hyatt will be reopening as Hyatt Regency Bali on January 1, 2019 following their multi-million dollar renovations and updates to the property. The objective behind these changes is to enhance their existing features and authenticity while bringing the property up to the highest of standards. Their 363 rooms and suites will feature a combination of traditional Balinese style with the simplicity of Japanese aesthetic designed by SPIN Design Tokyo and a number of new or upgraded amenities. Tropical swimming pools, a brand new meeting space, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a spa complex, on-site restaurants, and access to Sanur’s only 500-meter beach are just some of the top incentives. Guests will also enjoy their existing proximity to Bali just 30 minutes away where they can shop, dine, drink, and explore all that the island has to offer.

2. Nine New Hotels To Open in Africa by 2020

After successfully bringing the Hyatt brand to Kenya last year, the company is now focused on bringing dual-branded Hyatt Place and Hyatt House hotels to various countries in Africa including Morocco, Algeria, Ethiopia, Senegal, and re-joining the hospitality industry in Cairo. With tourism continuing to grow in these areas, Hyatt is fully committed to offering their owners and guests with luxury amenities at their next African destination. The first five of their hotels, Hyatt Regency Algiers Airport, Hyatt Centric Daka, Hyatt Addis Ababa, Hyatt Place Nairobi/Westlands, and Hyatt House Nairobi/Westlands, are all expected to be open throughout 2019 and 2020. Each location will have themes that complement the beautiful landscape and culture of the particular country they are situated in.

3. Hyatt Place London City/East

In a franchise agreement with Resolution Property and hotel management by Cycas Hospitality, Hyatt will be creating its third hotel in greater London and their seventh hotel in the UK: Hyatt Place London City/East at Black Lion House on Whitechapel Road in Aldgate. The property will feature 280 units, a ninth floor hotel lounge and terrace, a versatile meeting room, a fitness center, an inner courtyard, and a small grab-and-go food market. Designs will be focused around a contemporary aesthetic and technology for their guests. This project is aimed to help the ever-expanding tourism in the London area and to be a convenient place for people who stay from near and far. If all goes according to plan, Hyatt Place London City/East will open sometime in 2020.

4. Andaz Turks & Caicos at Grace Bay

With an anticipated opening in 2021, Hyatt has recently announced its first hotel and residences development for the Andaz brand in the Caribbean. The 59-unit hotel and 79-unit suite residences will be located on 5.5 acres of land and TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards 2018 ‘Best Beach in the World’ winner, Grace Bay Beach. Guests will enjoy a plethora of on-site amenities including four restaurants and bars, a wellness facility with yoga studio, an indoor and outdoor spa, and high-end concierge services. The studio, one-, two-, three-, and luxury four-bedroom suites will feature items that highlight Turks and Caicos local culture as well as bring in plenty of sunlight and modern furniture. For those who want to venture outside of the resort, popular Bight Reef is just a short distance away and the ideal place to get an authentic island experience.

5. Committed to Hiring 10,000 Opportunity Youth by 2025

With so many teenagers and young adults unemployed or living in poverty, Hyatt has taken strides to assist those in need through the launch of their newest global program, RiseHY. Hyatt Hotels and Resorts is committed to hiring 10,000 16-24-year-olds who are not working and are not in school by 2025. By utilizing virtual reality to show potential employees what it would be like to working at one of their many properties, using digital skill-matching to find the ideal jobs for candidates, and creating training programs with local community-based organizations, Hyatt Hotels Corporation hopes to cultivate fulfilling and upward-moving careers for all who join their inclusive teams.
