UNIT AMENITIES: My wife and I purchased the unit in 1991. With our family of six, we have truly appreciated our unit for comfort and convenience at a reasonable price. Hawaii in our estimation is the best location for a vacation. The Maui Schooner over the years has continually improved this property with new, updated furnishings and appliances.
ON-SITE AMENITIES: Being located on Ma'alaea Bay in Kihei it is situated on a popular windsurfing beach where you can also see an occasional whale breach. The beach goes on for miles in either direction for those long walks, runs or swims. The resort has a pool, shuffle board courts and tennis courts for additional activities. Situated in a neighborhood setting, it is quiet with an occasional rooster crow for a morning wake-up call.
NEARBY AMENITIES: Plan your daily activities according to your group's interests. The entire island chain is a short airplane trip which includes Honolulu on Oahu, the islands of Kauai, Molokai and the big island of Hawaii. Some things to try include:
1) A luau
2) Take a helicopter ride
3) Use a snorkel boat to visit Molokini, Honolua Bay or Lana’i
4) Drive up to Haleakala
5)Drive the Hana Coast
6) Go boating, kayaking or sailing
7) Go deep sea fishing
8) Go shopping
9) Dine at Mama's Fish House just north of Paia off of highway 36 seaside
The natural sites to visit include the beaches, snorkeling spots, Haleakala and the road to Hana. Some of the beaches include; Big Beach, Little Beach, Ka'anapali Black Rock, and Wailea Beach. Some snorkeling spots include; Honolua Bay, La Perouse Bay and mile marker 14 at Ikumehame Beach. If shopping is your desire visit the Shops at Wailea, Ka'anapali and/or Lahaina.
