Reserving Your Starwood Home Resort

To reserve your home resort, you must make the reservation 8-12 months before the date of your vacation. Floating week owners may choose the date of your vacation, but the season and villa type depend on what you own. Fixed week owners will have their owned week automatically booked, but you must confirm the reservation 10-12 months before your arrival.

Floating week owners may make a reservation online, but fixed week owners must call Starwood to confirm the reservation. Some reservation particulars may vary by home resort or on an individual basis, so double-check with your home resort's front desk to ensure you know your specific reservation rules.

Reserving With StarOptions

If you have StarOptions points, you may use them to reserve a vacation at any other Starwood Vacation Network resort. You may choose a different villa type or season than your owned week, provided you have enough StarOptions for your reservation. If you want a vacation that requires more StarOptions than your owned week provides, you may bank your StarOptions to save for your dream vacation another year.

A StarOptions reservation must be made 8 months prior to the date of your vacation. Similar to making reservations at home resorts, specific reservation rules may differ depending on your own particular timeshare ownership, so be sure to confirm these details before making your first StarOptions reservation.

Cancelling Your Starwood Reservation

  • According to the Starwood Cancellation Policy, if you cancel your reservation 60 days or more before the date of arrival, you will not be charged a cancellation fee.

  • If you cancel your reservation within 60-8 days before the date of arrival, you will likely have to pay a small fee and may make a reservation within 60 days of the new arrival date.

  • StarOptions used for the original reservation will not be eligible for banking.

  • If you cancel your reservation within 7 days before the date of arrival, you will pay a fee and can make a reservation within 60 days of the new arrival date.

Be sure to check with your home resort to ascertain your specific cancellation rules and regulations.
