There are several beach areas around Treasure Lake that are open until 5 PM during the warmer months with lifeguards on duty. As a member of the Treasure Lake resorts in our inventory, you will have lake access where you can hang out in the sand and take a dip in the water if you so choose.

Once a coal, lumber, and railroading town, DuBois has plenty of historical sites where you can learn about how this area has become the way it is today and its importance in the Civil War. You’ll also learn about the Shaffer family, who were the first permanent inhabitants on the land in 1812.

If you have been searching for another way to get the kids outside during your vacations, Parker Dam is a wonderful place to visit. There are over 850 acres to explore with hiking trails, picnicking areas, and water activities. It is a true look into the nature of Pennsylvania and all of its untouched beauty.

You’ll quickly learn that the locals of DuBois love handcrafted wine. There are quite a few wineries and vineyards in the area including Evergreen Valley Vineyards and Winery, Laurel Mountain Vineyard, and Wapiti Ridge Wine Cellars. Learn from experts and try some wonderful and delicious wines!

Dubois is fortunate to have two, 18-hole golf courses on Lake Treasure named Silver Course and Gold Course. Head over to their pro shop, try out their practice facility, and have fun taking on their challenging yet fun courses. Silver is known to be longer and more open while Gold is a bit shorter and more affordable.
