Senator John Sununu Honored By SellMyTimeshareNow

SMTN recognizes Senator John Sununu for his dedication in working to pass the Internet Tax Freedom Act of 2007 with an award presented at the company's Dover, NH offices.

Dover, NH (January 17, 2008) -- On Wednesday, January 16, NH Senator John Sununu received recognition from the timeshare advertising and marketing company, SellMyTimeshareNow, for spearheading passage of the 2007 Internet Tax Freedom Act. Thanks to Senator Sununu and other dedicated lawmakers, the act extended until November 2014, the ban on Internet access taxation. The Internet Tax Freedom Act passed the House by a vote of 402 to 0, and passed the Senate in a unanimous voice vote before President Bush then signed it into law.

As Jason Tremblay, founder of SellMyTimeshareNow explains, "We are delighted that Senator Sununu made time to be with us today and receive this award, which recognizes his dedication to the passage of the Internet Tax Freedom Act of 2007." With monthly website traffic to SellMyTimeshareNow averaging nearly 1.8 million, Tremblay's company, SellMyTimeshareNow, is an industry leader in providing advertising and marketing for timeshare resales and timeshare rentals. Tremblay said, "The growth of broadband service nationally is very important to our business, as more people on the Internet means more potential customers for our company. This legislation helps make Internet access a more attractive and affordable service for consumers, which helps technology companies such as ours continue to grow."

John Sununu, who in 2002, defeated both an incumbent Senator and an incumbent Governor to become the youngest member of the United States Senate, said this of the Internet Tax Freedom Act, "This seven-year ban nearly doubles the House proposal and further strengthens tax protections for e-mails and instant messaging. I will continue to fight for a permanent ban on access taxes, but this is a strong step forward." Senator Sununu sits on the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee, and has been intimately involved in Internet-related discussions during his time in the Senate. He emphasizes, "Taxing the Internet is wrong for consumers and wrong for the economy."

In 2007, SellMyTimeshareNow presented timeshare owners wanting to sell timeshare or rent timeshare with more than $274 million in offers from prospective timeshare buyers and timeshare renters. As an internet-based company, built on the combination of strategic internet marketing and superior customer service, SellMyTimeshareNow's award to Sununu was, appropriately, a silver plated computer mouse, with an inscription of appreciation to the Senator.
