The New Disneyland Hotel DVC Tower Named the Villas at Disneyland Hotel

This past weekend at the D23 Expo, the Disney Vacation Club officially announced the name of its latest project, a 350-room tower located on the Disneyland Resort campus. The tower will be known as The Villas at Disneyland Hotel.

The logo has also been released, which utilizes four colors to create the shape of the letter ‘D’ and creates a four-point star in the center.

What We Already Know About The Disneyland DVC Tower

It has been over a decade since the Disney Vacation Club was able to add accommodation options to their California location. For several years, the brand was in negotiation with the Anaheim City Council where they struggled to reach an agreement and entire proposed projects had been halted. In the summer of 2020, the council approved this new tower in a 7-0 vote to be built adjacent to the iconic Disneyland Hotel.

The concept art for the villas was revealed at the fall 2021 Destination D23 event hosted at Walt Disney World. The expansion’s theme has been described as “from an artist’s perspective” with the pool being shaped like an artist’s palette and rooms subtly inspired by Sleeping Beauty’s breathtaking visuals and colors.

The construction for the tower is well underway since breaking ground in spring 2021. As of July, the tower had officially reached seven of the twelve proposed stories. In addition to the L-shaped tower and pool, the project will include an outdoor bar, an interactive play area, a community hall, and a fitness center.

The project is still expected to be completed and begin welcoming guests in late 2023.
