In case you haven’t heard, Disney Riviera Resort is set to be the 15th resort in the DVC network. The property is inspired from Walt Disney’s trips to the Mediterranean coastline with his wife, Lillian. The resort aims to celebrate the luxury and beauty of France and Italy paired with the magic and fun of Disney.

The Ambience of Disney Riviera Resort

The real charm of the resort is in the details. Enter Disney’s Riviera Resort and see grand archways and porticos to the tower and terraces. This elegant property will play ambient music composed of Disney favorites with a European twist. Guests and visitors will also be able to attend live musical performances hosted on-site.

The resort will feature layers of design elements that gracefully portray European architecture, fabrics, and artwork. This has become a true passion-project and a celebration of Walt himself, beautifully constructed by the Walt Disney Imagineering.

Accommodations at Disney’s Riviera Resort

DVC Resorts are known for their comfortable, family-friendly accommodations. And you should expect nothing less at the Disney Riviera Resort! These units are available in studios, one-, two-, and three-bedroom villas, all the perfect mix of convenient and stylish.

The studios are perfect for an elegant couples getaway, equipped with a kitchenette, laundry machines, and a dining area. The larger, multi-bedroom suites are ideal for families with full kitchens, dining areas, living rooms with sofa beds, and large bathrooms.

As we previously mentioned, Disney Riviera Resort is equal parts fun and elegant. The amenities reflect that perfectly with plenty of kid-friendly features as well as more adult-themed options.

The kids will absolutely adore playing at the “S’il Vous Play” water area. This will feature a fountain with characters from the famed Disney film, “Fantasia.” If you’ve ever been to Europe, you’ll find that these water play structures are reminiscent from the larger fountains seen around the country.

Adults will find a more sophisticated swimming experience over at the “Beau Soleil” leisure pool. Tread water, sunbathe, or unwind in the shade beneath the lush-green landscaped wall.

The dining at Disney’s Riviera Resort offers options for both adults and children. Le Petit Cafe is a lobby cafe with pastries and coffees by day, and a swanky wine bar by night. Bar Riva serves up European and Mediterranean style dishes and cocktails right by the pool. Primo Piatto is the perfect spot for quick bites throughout the day. And finally, Topolino’s Terrace offers storybook character breakfast with decadent blueberry pancakes and French and Italian cuisine for dinner. The restaurant itself sits atop the resort and offers stunning views of Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios—a great place to catch the fireworks.

Oh, and let’s not forget that Disney Riviera Resort will have its own resort-exclusive station for the brand new Disney Skyliner transport—the park’s innovative aerial gondola system that takes guests to and from the surrounding theme parks.
