CRO Specialist

Location: Exeter, NH
Type: Full-Time
Department: Marketing

We are on the hunt for a talented CRO Specialist who can think creatively and critically; someone who cares not just about how a website looks and functions, but—more importantly—how it performs. If you excel in crafting websites, landing pages, mobile experiences, and conversion funnels that inspire customers to act (and that look amazing in the process), this role is for you

This is a unique opportunity for someone who is truly passionate about the world of CRO to build a conversion optimization program from the ground up. We need someone with a “roll up your sleeves” work ethic—who is as comfortable jumping in and optimizing ad copy and headlines as they are configuring, running, and analyzing a complex multivariate test. Most importantly, we need someone who never settles for acceptable results; instead, you strive for continuous improvement and to exceed rather than meet expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement all facets of the CRO roadmap for multiple websites and business lines including planning, project management, resource management, campaign testing, optimization, reporting, forecasting, and internal communication to stakeholders
  • Gather, merge, and analyze marketing channel data and internal performance and revenue data to formulate insightful hypothesis and ideas for tests to optimize and improve conversion rates in assigned marketing funnels
  • Establish a CRO testing schedule for each brand/website based on potential ROI, and continuously run and evaluate results from A/B and multivariate tests, segment-based targeting, and behavioral targeting to iteratively improve conversion rates and revenue per visitor
  • Ensure that web traffic, tagging including tracking URLs, ecommerce tracking, conversion data, and key performance data is captured through Google Analytics, Google Adwords, and other platforms
  • Develop and maintain an insight library with documentation of previous test results including hypothesis, test goals, identifying elements tested, length of testing, and final reporting
  • Establish research methodology to conduct surveys, usability tests, and monitor conversion rates by key personas and demographics
  • Provide weekly and monthly KPI reports to senior managemen
  • Other responsibilities, as assigne

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred, but we value hands-on experience more
  • At least 5+ years’ experience in conversion rate optimization, web analytics, web design, and landing page optimization with a demonstrated track record of improving conversion rates and revenue per visitor
  • Advanced experience in Google Analytics
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator)
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
  • Ability to function autonomously, hitting deadlines and moving projects through to completion with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions and develop actionable recommendations
  • Positive, fun, laid-back attitude

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years' experience working on CRO for a company with complex and large-scale web properties (including mobile platforms)
  • Experience with Google Tag Manage
  • You can hand-code responsively with HTML5 and CSS3 or you can code PHP or Javascript
  • Experience designing for and running tests in Wordpress environments
