Manor Court is in the grounds of Bovey Castle, a very exclusive Hotel and restaurant. It is not open to the general public and only available to Manor Court and RCI Guests by prior booking. There is an excellent choice of good restaurants in the surrounding villages. The resort is ideally located to explore Dartmoor, with Exeter and Plymouth within a 30 minutes' drive. Manor Court is essentially a small exclusive golf resort; concessionary green fees are available for 2 named persons per cottage, current club handicaps must be produced, and the resort must be informed at least one week prior if you wish to play.

The Estate's accommodations are divided between the Castle, Mews and individual Lodges within the grounds.

The Castleâ��s suites, staterooms and bedrooms enjoy a variety of views and are looked after twice daily by cheerful house staff who provide a friendly and attentive service.
All of the staff at Bovey Castle pride themselves in their ability to humour, charm and serve.

The Manor Court cottages were created from the Manor House Estate stables, and the character of the original granite buildings has been preserved.

Fifteen cottages have been formed, mostly around the original cobbled courtyard, and two units in the former estate manager's house. The restraints of the conversion resulted in a range of different layouts. All the cottages are furnished to complement the relaxing atmosphere greatly appreciated at Manor Court. The cottages vary in size from 1 bedroom to 3 bedrooms.

Each Lodge, built of granite under a slate roof, is spacious and airy, designed and decorated to an exciting specification with superb oak beamed cathedral ceilings and imposing granite fireplaces.

Bovey Castle (previously The Manor House Hotel) was bought in 2003 by the well known entrepreneur Peter de Savary of Skibo Castle fame. The Hotel and its grounds were upgraded, almost regardless of cost, to 5 star plus standards in 2004. This is immediately apparent on driving into the Estate; into a different world of immaculate fairways, greens and landscaping rarely found on this side of the Atlantic. GENERAL ACTIVITIES: The unique location of Manor Court, within the Dartmoor National Park, provides opportunities for an exceptional range of outdoor activities. Whether your preference is for something energetic and challenging, or more leisurely, like visiting the many National Trust properties and sampling the famous Devon cream teas; the area offers something for everyone. Although a little further away, the much acclaimed Eden Project should be visited whilst in the South West; it is just a pleasant hour and a half drive away, down the A30. FLY FISHING - The nearby River Teign provides some of Devon's finest trout and salmon fishing; day tickets are available. WALKING - Probably the most satisfying way to experience the enchantment of Dartmoor is on foot. The exposed wilderness of the Dartmoor Tors contrasts with the many secluded woodland walks, all within easy reach of Manor Court. RIDING AND TREKKING - The vast open topography of Dartmoor provides some excellent riding opportunities. Horse riding has always formed a significant part of the Dartmoor way of life, and the numerous stables in the area provide varied riding options for visitors.
