2007 Was Record Breaking Year for Timeshare Resale Advertising Company
The online timeshare resales company released a fourth-quarter earnings synopsis indicating that timeshare resales and timeshare rentals remain solid, despite the softening economy.
Dover, NH (January 31, 2008) -- SellMyTimeshareNow a leading timeshare resales and timeshare rentals advertising and marketing company, finished 2007 with strong fourth-quarter earnings, consistent with sales and revenue throughout the year.
The privately held Dover, New Hampshire company does not release earnings reports, however, does issue synopsis statements three times each year, along with an end-of-year statistical synopsis. For 2007, SellMyTimeshareNow reports a 37 percent increase in annual company revenue, over its 2006 earnings, making it a record year for the company.
Jason Tremblay, founder, says, "In a tight economy many people are ready to sell timeshares, but at the same time, others see timeshare resales as an opportunity to enjoy quality vacations at affordable prices. In 2007, SellMyTimeshareNow presented its customers just over $274 million in offers to buy timeshares or rent timeshares."
SellMyTimeshareNow is an internet-based advertising and marketing company that offers timeshare owners a way to advertise their timeshare for sale or rent to a global marketplace. At the same time, people who want to rent or buy timeshares, visit the SellMyTimeshareNow website to search its extensive inventory of timeshare resales and timeshare rentals.
The company's Director of Communications, Steve Luba, says, "The SellMyTimeshareNow website averages nearly 1.8 million visitors each month. Significantly, over 300,000 of these are unique visitors, meaning they have come to the website for the first time." SellMyTimeshareNow showed a 39 percent increase in website traffic in 2007 compared with 2006 and a 20 percent increase in the number of unique visitors in the same period.
Overall, the timeshare and timeshare resales market have remained strong despite fluctuations in the US economy. According to ARDA, the American Resort Development Association, vacation ownership (new timeshare sales) has increased every year during the past decade, growing at an annualized rate of 16 percent. ARDA's research is based on a study entitled, The State of the Vacation Timeshare Industry: United States Study 2007, prepared by Ernst & Young for AIF.
As Jason Tremblay explains, "The problems that have affected residential real estate have not been issues for the vacation ownership and timeshare resales market." He speculates that perhaps consumers who once were interested in buying a second home are now more interested in buying timeshares, timeshare resales, and fractional ownership. Additionally, Tremblay says that timeshare resales, which are inherently a global product, benefit tremendously from the types of sales and advertising exposure a well-positioned internet marketing company, such as SellMyTimeshareNow, has to offer and are naturally less dependent on US economic factors alone.
