The refurbishing and expansion of the hotel did not affect the existing rooms much in order to preserve the rich history and uniqueness of the past. Most of these rooms have wooden beam ceilings painted in colorful Mexican designs. The intricate designs on the ceiling beams and other hand painted works in the hotel have been admired by thousands. Motion picture star Vincent Price, who has visited the Rosarito Beach Hotel on many occasions, was heard to remark that the ceiling decorations must have caused many strained and twisted necks among the Mexican artists who did such magnificent job.
