Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser – Star Wars enthusiasts are counting down the days until this multi-day experience opens. This two-day, two-night Star Wars-theme experience allows guests to board a starcruiser ship to explore the galaxy, dine on themed food, and even learn how to fight with a lightsaber. Guests are encouraged to dress in costume and create their own unique backstory. This exciting attraction opens on March 1, 2022.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind – Coming to EPCOT in summer 2022 is a thrilling new roller coaster featuring some of your favorite Marvel heroes. When it opens, it will be one of the longest enclosed roller coasters in the entire world!

Accommodations

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa – We previously covered the expansion at Grand Floridian Resort back in May, but these deluxe new units will be available to stay in in the summer of 2022. The resort is adding 200 new resort studios, providing more accommodation options for members of the Disney Vacation Club.

Entertainment

Finding Nemo: The Big Blue…and Beyond – The existing Finding Nemo stage show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is being updated with new songs and plot points from the sequel, Finding Dory.

Technology

MagicBand+ – Your favorite Disney wearable device is getting an upgrade with MagicBand+. Currently, the band connects to your park ticket, hotel room key, and lightning lane pass. The upgrade will still do all these things with the addition of color-changing lights, haptic vibrations, and gesture recognition.

“Hey Disney!” With Amazon Alexa – Disney World hotels and resorts will soon add Amazon Alexa technology to use right in your room. Wake up and say “Hey Disney!” From there, Alexa will tell you when the parks open, what the weather is, and assist you in ordering amenities for your room. This special technology can help make planning your Disney days a breeze.

Cruise Line

Disney Wish – Those who look to take to the sea in 2022 will be happy to hear that the Disney Cruise Line is sailing again after a multi-month hiatus due to the pandemic. The Disney Wish will set sail on its first voyage on June 9, 2022. This new ship will offer Frozen and Marvel-themed dining, adults-only spaces, a family-friendly onboard game, and even a Star Wars-themed lounge.
