Westgate Resorts is set for continued growth as we begin 2018. Right before 2017 came to a close, Westgate continued their company-wide expansion efforts by making five different executive appointments.

Of these new appointments, Westgate has named a new Chief Business Officer, Senior Vice President of Resort Operations, Vice President of Resort Operations, Vice President of Community & Public Affairs and Vice President of Security.

President and CEO David Siegel commented that is it important to promote those who have helped them to grow to where they are today as the company continues to thrive in flourish in the coming years: “These moves position Westgate Resorts for continued success for years to come.”

Jared Saft – Chief Business Officer

Previously working at Senior Vice President, Saft has been a dedicated member of Westgate resorts for more than 11 years. As Chief Business Officer, he will focus on overseeing the development and evaluation of all new business and growth opportunities for Westgate.

He will also continue to oversee company-wide hotel sales and markets; digital marketing and social media; inventory and revenue management; and timeshare and call center operations.

Sfat is also an ARDA board member. He received his master’s degree in policy and statistical analytics from Brown University.

Tom Sparks – Senior Vice President of Resort Operations

A Senior Vice President of Resort Operations, Sparks will oversee all resort operations and guest experience for all Westgate Resorts. He has been with the company for more than 17 years and has served in various leadership roles since 2000.

Prior to his time at Westgate Resorts, Sparks works for the Walt Disney Company for 20 years where he worked in management at various resorts including Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa and Disney Vacation Club.

Brian Waltrip – Vice President of Resort Operations

Waltrip previously served as the Vice President of Western Regional Operations and as a General Manager of Westgate Park City Resort & Spa. He will now work to oversee all resort operations and the Westgate Guest Experience Measurement and Brand Standards programs for all of the Westgate resorts.

Other roles within the company include positions at Westgate properties such as Orlando, Las Vegas, and Park City. He has been with the company 17 years.

Mara Frazier – Vice President of Community & Public Affairs

In addition to Frazier’s new appointment, she will also continue her role as Executive Director of the Westgate Resorts Foundation.

In her time with Westgate Resorts, she has worked with operations, nonprofits, community stakeholders, and elected officials to zone in on the needs of the community in Westgate’s resort markets. She developed Westgate’s Strong Families | String Workforce community strategy and revitalized the Foundation’s grand program.

Frazier also serves on various boards that represent areas of homelessness, education, veteran employment, and tourism.

Bob Cahill – Vice President of Security

Cahill previously served as Senior Director of Corporate Security and Loss Prevention after joining Westgate Resorts in 2015. He will now oversee security at all Westgate corporate and resort properties across the US.

Prior to working with Westgate, Cahill spent over 30 years working with the New York City Police Department.
