Ski Season Finally Arrives at Vail Resorts

The wait is over for millions of winter sports enthusiasts—ski resorts across the United States are starting to open for the 2017-18 season! With ski resort openings happening from coast to coast, this weekend will see a few of Vail Resorts locations open their doors and fire up their lifts for anxious skiers. We’ve compiled the opening dates of a few of them here in this blog post to help you get out and find the freshest, newest powder!

Vail Resorts Opening Dates

A few of the massive ski resort chain’s locations have already begun operations. The Breckenridge and Keystone Resorts have been open since last Friday, November 10th. However, as we continue through the month of November, more Vail Resorts locations will be issuing season passes and welcoming skiers and snowboarders in droves.

North America’s largest ski resort, Whistler Blackcomb, will open tomorrow, Friday, November 17th with three feet of base snow ready for skiers to enjoy. Their grand opening is joined on the east coast by Vermont’s Stowe Mountain Resort, and in Nevada by Lake Tahoe’s Heavenly Mountain Resort.

Other notable openings include Colorado’s Beaver Creek Resort and Tahoe’s Kirkwood Mountain Resort on Wednesday, November 22nd. Vail Mountain, Park City Mountain, and Northstar California Resort will all open on Thursday, November 23rd.
