The most well-known benefit among RCI members is the ability to exchange your timeshare for a vacation at thousands of top-rated RCI affiliated resorts across the globe.
Members of this external exchange company utilize RCI points to make reservations at their desired resorts. However, there are other things that RCI points can be used for that you may not be aware of. Did you know you can use your RCI points for airfare?
Timeshare owners have the benefit of having a vacation set in stone each and every year. The maintenance fees are paid and your suite is reserved, now you just need to book your flights. No matter how much planning and strategic timing goes into reserving your plane tickets, they can get expensive.
As an RCI member, you can save some money and “cash in on” your unused RCI points for airfare to your timeshare or any other place you’d like to travel!
RCI is partnered with 200 airlines, allowing members to exchange RCI points for flights. RCI members are able to use 33% of their annual allotted points or 25,000 points for booking airfare (whichever is greater), up to 250,000 points total.
Additionally, RCI points can be used to discount the overall flight cost to save money that way. The amounts are as follows:
