Wyndham Destinations is upgrading its urban resort portfolio once again, announcing its first ever vacation club destination in Atlanta, Georgia bordering Centennial Park. With an anticipated completion date of early 2022, this resort property will be added to both the Margaritaville Vacation Club® by Wyndham and Club Wyndham® network.
This proposed new property will transform Atlanta’s skyline with a 22-story glass tower building right in the heart of downtown, bringing 200 suites to the vacation club brands. Accommodation options will range from studios to three-bedroom presidential suites, and also feature a rooftop terrace with a pool and bar area overlooking the stunning Atlanta skyline. Surrounding attractions include The Georgia Aquarium, CNN Center, World of Coca-Cola, and the Center for Civil and Human Rights.
“We are leading the evolution of the timeshare industry by opening new destinations and creating more experiences for travelers in the places they want to explore,” said Michael Brown, president and CEO of Wyndham Destinations. “Downtown vacation destinations are the number one request from our owners, and Atlanta is at the top of everyone’s travel list. This will be an extremely popular location for our members, adding to our stellar city-center vacation club locations.”
As a dual vacation club property, the resort will be thoughtfully designed to blend the laidback, island vibes of Margaritaville with the upscale sophistication and comfort of Club Wyndham, while still keeping with the modern architecture of the Atlanta skyline.
Club Wyndam is one of the world’s largest vacation clubs, offering over 100 resort destinations across the globe. Still one of the most flexible vacation ownership options on the market, Club Wyndham was actually the first to offer a points-based program to owners. The club brand makes continuous strides towards flexibility and innovation in order to best adapt to the modern traveler with added perks, packages, and membership benefits.
Travelers can vacation just like Jimmy Buffett at Margaritaville Vacation Club‘s collection of laid-back, island-inspired resorts filled with music, fun, and relaxation. The new Atlanta property will be the club’s fifth resort destination. Current resort locations include Las Vegas, downtown Nashville, St. Thomas, and Rio Mar in Puerto Rico.
